 New York City -- The ever-popular New York Italian Trattoria Dopo Teatro has been named to receive Wine Spectator Magazine’s worldwide 2006 Award of Excellence.
   
     The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence honors a limited number of restaurants in the United States for wine lists that offer quality producers, and well-chosen food matches.  Trattoria Dopo Teatro's award-winning wine selection was developed under the expertise of the restaurant's wine director, Roberto Scarpati.

     Famous for making its patrons feel as if they are in a true trattoria in Italy, Trattoria Dopo Teatro’s luncheon and dinner menus feature the freshest seafood, cold and hot antipasti, soups, salads, open ravioli, pastas, rissoti, fish, meats, oven-fired pizzas, cheese selections, and desserts, all of which can be paired beautifully with the restaurant’s newly celebrated list of wines, by the bottle or the glass.
